The 2017 National Conference for the Fellowship of Evangelical Churches of Australia will be held on September 11-13.

We are excited to be heading to Queensland this year and will be hosted by Hope Reformed Baptist Church.

The Fellowship of Evangelical Churches of Australia invites you to come and join with Christian leaders from around Australia; to worship, learn and pray togeather, and participate in the life of the network.

The National Conference will incorporate the FECA Annual General Meeting and the Annual Dinner.

Attendance at our National Conference is open to all leaders and members of FECA churches.

Each member church is entitled to send two delegates (delegates can vote at the AGM). But we would love to have Church pastors, elders, leaders and spouces join us for the conference, to grow and learn together.

Annual Dinner

On Monday, September 11, we will host the FECA 2017 Annual Dinner. This dinner is for delegates representing member churches, along with their spouses.

The Annual Dinner will be held at Hotel HQ, 21 Kingston Road, Underwood.

SPEAKERS

Gary Millar

Gary has been the Principal of QTC since the start of 2012. He studied chemistry in Belfast, then theology in Scotland, completing his D.Phil on Deuteronomy in Oxford. He then worked as a pastor for 17 years in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. At QTC, Gary teaches Old Testament, Biblical Theology and Preaching. He has written on Deuteronomy (Now Choose Life), Prayer (Calling on the name of the Lord: A Biblical Theology of Prayer) and Preaching (Saving Eutychus, written with Phil Campbell). He is currently working on a major commentary on 1 & 2 Kings. Gary is married to Fiona, and they have three daughters, Lucy, Sophie and Rebekah.

Peter Sondergeld

Peter is the Senior Leader at The Project Church in Toowomba. Peter is married to Angela and together they have four sons. Peter began working at Toowoomba Christian College in 1996. He taught Manual Arts for ten years and was the Head of Pastoral Care for six years. Peter is a registered counsellor. He gets excited at the thought that God might work through him to grow people up to be more thoughtful, strong and passionate. When Pete isn’t preaching, parenting, studying or counselling he loves to go camping and mountain bike riding or to simply play cricket in the backyard with the boys and enjoy a coffee with his wife.

Sam Swadling

Sam Swadling pastors Gospel Church in Newcastle. Sam has a passionate love for Jesus and His gospel. After his love for his family, he loves church history, the beach and old stuff. Before he started planting Gospel Church Sam was the senior pastor at Singleton Baptist Church and Alice Springs Baptist Church. Sam is an Acts 29 Church planter.

MEALS

Tea and coffee will be provided during the day. A comprehensive list of local eateries will be provided at check-in for lunch options.

ACCOMODATION

Hotel Gloria and the Springwood Hotel are our suggested accomodation options. Hope Reformed Baptist Church will run some pick-ups to these locations to get you to and from the conference.

Feel free to organise alternative arrangements to better suit your situation.  

TRANSPORT & PARKING

Option 1: Airtrain to Underwood

Departs the airport every 15 mins to Brisbane City/Gold Coast. (Approximately 1.5-2hr travel time, $20.15) Airport direct to Altandi Station (Sunnybank) approximately $30 for a taxi from Altandi Station to Underwood. Airport to Kuraby Station (required to change trains) approximately $15 taxi from Kuraby Station to Underwood.

Option 2: Yellow Cab to Underwood

Approximately $75 cab fare from Brisbane Airport to Underwood.
